It's odd how different a birthday can feel when you're not at home or with loved ones. Even receiving cards in the post doesn't feel the same, because you open them by yourself. And as I don't particularly go out, I haven't enjoyed my birthday in that way. I do have presents still to look forward to and things, but it's odd when your birthday comes and goes just like that. I did, however, make time for cake. There's always time for cake on your birthday. Fact.
